I got this post regarding blog “Plug-Ins” and thought it would be a good idea to explain what a Plug-In is. Think of it like planning a wedding. You have the event hall as the main unit (which in the case of this example is the WordPress blog software package); the band and the caterer would be considered the “Plug-Ins”; entities that perform specific functions, add a customized flavor- and add or enhance the central unit or system.
Plug-In can also be known as Widgets (Widgets). Widgets do not necessarily have to be specific to one system (such as Facebook); they can be used on multiple systems (Like installing a calendar widget or clock widget on your website or blog). Also, Widgets can be visual, graphical representations of a Plug-In. Depending on the platform or system you are adding this to, you may be able to click on and drag the graphical Widget Icon into a setup box in order to start the Widget.
