I work for a nonprofit organization called Good Samaritan Project and our mission is central to our organization. We assist people who are affected by HIV/AIDS and work to prevent HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. We recently started to go in the direction of prevention of other sexually transmitted diseases and changed our mission statement to include that. Any consideration for submitting for funding or maybe we could earn money by doing this or that…it has to fit with our mission. It helps to keep us focused on what we are to do. Otherwise you come across people with many issues and you want to help them all, but you have to keep in mind what we help with and some other organizations will have to do the rest.
